Week 1- The Phoenix is reborn!

phoenixThis is not my first time through the MasterKeys Course.  But, what I realized is it takes many rounds to continue to gather and learn, practice, and being persistent to chip away at the cement that formed over many, many years.  The MKMMA Course takes time but the takeaways are tremendous.  There is such an abundance of knowledge to absorb and apply. Setting goals to achieve your life purpose is the only way to start on the journey.  Redefining the blueprint to capture your life’s purpose. An analogy is having directions when embarking on a trip as opposed to just getting in your car and driving.  MKMMA helps you develop the directions, your DMP will become your roadmap.  The good news is everything we need to be successful is ALREADY within us!  How awesome is that!

Breaking bad habits and forming good habits is NOT easy.  Making sacrifices like watching less television feels like a loss, at first.  But, in fact these diversions take one away from our focus on behaviors to establish good habits.  We spend more time on the negatives in our life instead of the positives.  We learned in Week 1 about the Red Pencil Syndrome. Grades in school are summarized in the number we missed versus the total we answered correctly.  We dwell on the bad instead of the good.  The Law of Growth tells us:  What we think about grows.  What we forget atrophies.  Is it any wonder why many of us never move away from the starting block of life?  Start now, think positive!

The Greatest Salesman in the World tells us in Scroll I, “In truth, the only difference between those who have failed and those who have succeeded lies in the difference of their habits.  Good habits are the key to all success.  Bad habits are the unlocked door to failure.”  Our lives are so wasted being influenced by negative thoughts like hatred, envy, greed, jealousy, selfishness. Hard work is required to accomplish change.  ‘Wishing is not a strategy.’

So this round, I plan to enhance my success by strengthening what I did not master the first time.  For me, I plan to focus more concentrated on the ‘sits in silence’.  I learned silence and quiet time puts one in tune with their subconscious mind. “All possession is based upon consciousness. All gain is the result of an accumulated consciousness.  All loss is the result of a scattering consciousness.” Finding the wisdom in the world within will yield the power to manifest in the world without.

So, how do I feel about Week 1?  Very excited.  I will work hard to be successful.  It is little time spent for a life change.  The power of positive thinking and creating a new blueprint will generate new habits replacing the old bad habits. I am eager to discover the world within to help find the solution to every problem and to master control of all laws of power and possession. I am anxious to find infinite wisdom, infinite power, and infinite supply of all that is necessary. Like the phoenix, I would like to emerge from the ashes and be reborn.

Week 24 – The Journey has just begun!

How many of you have made New Year’s resolutions year after year and nothing has ever happened?  Why not you ask?  Every year you have good intentions life will change.  New promises are considered, but nothing happens.   The reason being you did not take action or know how to become different.  Just wishing to be different does not make it happen.  What were the critical steps to take?  All the self-help courses talk about how wonderful it would be to change your life, but no one explained the steps to create this change.   Well, along comes the Master Keys Key to SuccessMastermind Alliance Course, and Mark J, the World’s Laziest Network Marketer.  Finally, the skills were explained to change the old blueprint to become a different person.  Thirteen skills were revealed through a series of exercises over 24 weeks.

We learned nothing new, but discovered what was already within us.  Our eyes to self-discovery were opened.  We focused upon the positive and away from the negative.  We learned to see the world through optimism, gratitude, enthusiasm and love.  We learned to trust ourselves and not be afraid.  Our barometer is our heart.  We discovered our talents resulting in confidence and a greater calm.  We slayed the dragon within.  dragon

redpencilThe red pencil syndrome bombards us daily through the television, movies, news, in school targeting our thoughts and reactions toward the negative point of view.  We are naturally wired to go toward the negative.  Exercises like the 7 Day Mental Diet helped us to influence our subconscious mind by paying attention to the thoughts we allow into our minds.  It’s been said, “your mind is either programmed for prosperity and abundance, or it’s not!”  Each of us is the gardener of our soil, we must surrender our ego, and listen to our only true teacher….. the one within us!

Why am I on the Earth?  Why am I here?  What is my purpose in life?  We developed our DMP, our dharma, our definite major purpose.  We must trust ourselves and be the watchman at the gate.  Let go of everything and reprogram our subconscious and connect to the Universal mind, God, the Omnipotent. Opportunities come to those who are prepared.

The priceless wisdom of the ten ancient scrolls handed down from thousands of years in Og Mandino’s, The Greatest Salesman in the World.” Scroll IV, I am life’s greatest miracle, was a game-changer.  Being the observer and offering no opinions allows us to become more aware.  We became more ready to make our own choices and stand out as an individual, our own hero, in confidence.  The Law of Least Effort taught us to live in acceptance, responsibility, and defenselessness.

The Law of Giving and Receiving taught us to give and receive kindness and love with an open heart. Emerson’s, Law of Compensation, taught us we cannot get it, unless we give it.  “The more we give, the more we will receive.”  The Seven Laws of the Mind included the Law of Growth, what we pay attention to grows and what we forget atrophies.   Be in the zone…zero out negative thoughts!  Be persistent and succeed.

dr-seuss1In summary, we can learn many of life’s great truth in the Five Lessons in Life by Dr. Seuss:

  1. Today you are you, that is truer than true, there is no one alive who is youer that you.
  2. Why fit in when you were born to stand out?
  3. You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
  4. Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.
  5. Today I shall behave, as if this is the day I will be remembered.

“When we seek truth, it appears everywhere.”  Be in today ….be in the moment.  Follow your intention and do what you think is right.

I discovered the Master Keys Mastermind Alliance course and persisted to be in attendance and complete all the exercises.  The world looks new because I changed my life.  I wished I found this opportunity years ago, but the timing was right…all proceeded as it was intended.  I have shared with you just of few of the many lessons and wonderful discoveries experienced.

So, I highly recommend you start your journey by enrolling in the Master Keys Course.  Discover your purpose, discover your talents and find your purpose in life.

Peace to you.  Blessed be your journey.

Maholo!

Week 23 – Laws of Least Effort

chopraOur Master Key assignments this week included focus upon the Law of Least Effort living each day with Acceptance, Responsibility, and Defenselessness.

Law of Least Effort: Acceptance

Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur.  I will know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be.  I will not struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment.  My acceptance is whole and complete and I accept things as they are and not how I wish they were.

 Law of Least Effort: Responsibility

Having accepted things as they are.  I will take Responsibility for my situation and for all those events I see as problems, means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation including myself.  Every problem is really an opportunity which I may transform into a greater benefit.  Two questions we must ask ourselves include: first, “What am I pretending not to know?”, an second, “What would the person I intend to become do next.”

 Law of Least Effort: Defenselessness

My awareness will relinquish the need to defend my point of view.  I feel no need to convince or persuade other to accept my point of view.  I will remain open to all points of view and not rigidly attached to any one of them. Ways we have to block our defenselessness include facing each day offering no opinions, the Seven Day Mental Diet, and the Law of Substitution.  These are all ways to focus on the positive, love, harmony, and gratitude leading to the most important purpose in our lives and that is to be of service.  The more we give, the more we receive.

deepak1Have you ever heard the phrase, “What you resist persists?” The same is true of your thoughts.  Deepak Chopra’s law of least effort states “nature’s intelligence functions with effortless ease… carefree, in harmony, and love.  How you treat yourself is highly connected with your ability to access your gifts. Love yourself and your gifts will move come closer to you. The exercise we have been practicing since week one includes repeating nightly the Gal/Guy in the Glass and ending your recitation by calling out your name saying,  “I love you”.  This exercise was a bit awkward at first, but has replaced uncertainty and doubt with confidence and love.

We all assume it takes work to make your dreams come true.  In fact, most of us have behaviors and thinking that are working to prevent our dreams.  In this case, less is more.  The least effort expended, the better. To think in a more orderly, conscious, efficient manner you first have to eliminate habits of thinking that obstruct the universe’s ability to carry out your desires.  If you continue to bombard your brain with noise, the negative, and unnecessary information the picture and message becomes clouded and confused.  “The mind is similarly full of pointless repetition. It has been estimated 90 percent of the thoughts anyone thinks on any given day are the same as those of the day before. This is because we are all creatures of habit, worry, and obsession.”

In our quiet sits, we were tasked with quieting our brain, focusing our conscious thoughts toward our wishes and desires to direct our unconscious mind.  The Law of Growth states what we think about grows.  The Law of Relaxation tells us that a relaxed, calm state of mind, is the doorway to progress mentally and the access to Infinite Intelligence.

So let’s talk about the Law of Least Effort.  To me, this is another way to quiet the brain and direct our thoughts and actions in the direction of love and harmony.  At first, I struggled with this change as I felt I was not taking charge of situations.  But, by listening and focusing upon acceptance, new doors were opened.  New pathways and channels appeared.  I did not have to defend my idea or anyone else’s idea.  The ‘”right” thing to do became obvious.

“I can be what I will to be.”

Peace be your journey!

Week 22a – Emerson and Self-Reliance

courage3Emerson’s work on individualism begins his work by asserting the importance of thinking for oneself instead of merely accepting other people’s opinions.  “To believe that what is true in your private heart is true for all men – that is genius.”  The person with high self-esteem, inspiration, and hope believes in himself.  Those who rely on the judgements of others are cowardly and immature and overly concerned with their reputation, approval, and the opinion of others. They are hesitant and unsure and cannot act genuinely or spontaneous.  Followers of public opinion are recognized as hypocrites as their facial expressions are also false. They are robots taking the steps designed by others.  They are not free-thinkers.

220px-Ralph_Waldo_Emerson_ca1857_retouchedEmerson condemns societies that demand conformity and the fear of the unknown. He states, “A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.” He points out that history’s greatest thinkers were branded as outcasts for their creative, original ideas. Not conforming to the masses has its risk of one being scorned and disliked.  Notable among someone scorned by his peers was Jesus Christ.

Too many people are led by suggestions, desires, and feelings of responsibility.  Instead they should practice independent self-reliance and not give in to others’ demands. This will bring risks of being misunderstood, but that self-reliant individual will be more ‘godlike’ than those who follow society’s laws.

Religion, he says, could use a hefty dose of self-reliance which turns a man’s mind from petty, self-centered desires to a desire for the common good.  “Religion’s main problem is fear of individual creativity.  Religious creeds are dangerous because they provide a set of ready answers and squelch the independent thought of the self-reliant person.

Emerson encourages man to be self-reliant and to think and create for himself and not copy or be influenced by religions or governments that teach conformity. He urges the individual to be a risk-taker.  “One cannot gain peace, but from himself.  Nothing can bring peace but the triumph of principles”.  Self-reliance, then, is the triumph of a principle.

courageStep out take the risk to think and create your own destiny.  Set goals and work toward them. Earl Nightingale, “The Strangest Secret”, states, “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal. The opposite of courage is our society is not cowardice – it is conformity,” He goes on to say the trouble with people today and the reason why so many fail is conformity.  People acting like everyone else, without knowing why or where they are going. Success is anyone who is pursuing a predetermined goal because that is what he desires to do.

In the Bible you will read in Mark 9-23: “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”  In three words: “Believe and Succeed.”

Week 22 – Miracles truly are everywhere!

AE3miracle“There are only two ways to live your life.  One is as though nothing is a miracle.  The other is as though everything is a miracle. “

The dictionary describes a miracle as an event not explicable by natural or scientific laws.  Such an event may be attributed to a supernatural being, God, a miracle worker, a saint or a religious leader. But miracles are everywhere and all around us.  Size does not matter. Miracles are everywhere, in everyone, and in everything. Miracles are the bounty for us all and not contrived only from a miracle worker or supernatural being.

Key SurfingI look around me today with greater vision.  The journey through the Master Keys for the last twenty-two weeks has opened my eyes, chipped away at the old cement, and made the sun so much brighter. I am not saying I am now perfect, far from it.  What I am saying is I see, feel, think, and respond differently to life.  The Law of Giving has allowed me to bring a gift wherever I go. Giving a ‘gift’ to everyone I encounter without the expectation of reciprocity. Expecting joy, affluence, kindness and love with every encounter and being a grateful receiver. When was the last time you enjoyed the beauty of a wonderful, sunny day, the beauty of the many varieties of flowers, the stars in the heavens?  How amazing is a hummingbird and a bumble bee?  Did you know in terms of aerodynamics, bees should not be able to fly?  Their bodies are too heavy; their wings are too small.  Yet they do fly!  Bumble bees are miracles.  flybeesNature’s gifts are all miracles.

God created the heavens and the earth and man. The Bible states God created human beings from ordinary dirt, red clay.  Literally it does say ‘red dirt’ or clay.  Consider the miracle of the sun, some ninety-three- million miles away, it is precisely large enough and the correct distance from the earth to provide light, heat, and power to sustain us.  But, what is God’s greatest miracle?  Not the heavens, the sun, the heavens, the Earth, no we are God’s greatest miracle. Each one of us.  Og Mandino, The Greatest Salesman in the World, Scroll IV, states “I am nature’s greatest miracle”. I am

Balancing On Golden CompassThe Master Keys has taught me to open my heart to be aware of nature’s gifts. My head and heart are aligned so miracles have become a consistent reality, not only possible, but commonplace.  I have been learning to break through life’s programming and conditioning to stretch to become enabled and empowered to SEE and KNOW that miracles are everywhere. Stretching beyond the beliefs and perceptions of SELF as we are all born to greatness and have been conditioned to mediocrity. Our programming has caused us to see, perceive, judge and label events and circumstances in our lives as something less than the miracles they truly are.  So the Master Keys lesson have focused on the unlearning and deprogramming to get to the “heart”.  Chipping away at the cement Buddha. The heart follows “feelings” which are not learned, programmed, or reasoned.

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” The power of the mind and heart aligned is the first step that enables one to see miracles everywhere. The kind and quality of miracles that we experience individually is based on the quality of consciousness that we each hold. Determining how and what we think, believe, say and do. Our beliefs determine the quality of each of those choices. As we believe we receive.  The Law of growth states, what we think about grows, what we forget atrophies. What miracles are you “enabling and allowing”?

miracle5The process of creation is a miracle and everything that stems from it as well.  If we change our level of consciousness, we will be able to see this.  How does one charge their mind to improve upon their personal experience?  Take time away from your hectic and busy schedule to BE STILL.  Sit in silence and make this a daily habit.  Start with 15 minutes, but strive to increase this to 30 minutes or more.  Be brave and consider days of silence away from television, the computer, your cell phone, and all other distractions.  This habit will enable and empower you to not only validate the timeless wisdom.  “BE STILL and KNOW that I AM God” but provide an indescribable sense of peace, assurance, joy and love to enable you to SEE and KNOW for yourself that miracles “truly are EVERYWHERE.”

Week 21 – Be the Curious Adventurer!

compass-6-150x150Life does not get easier, you get stronger – persist! Claim your power. Opportunity is the discovery of possibility.  Have the vision, believe and succeed.

What is the real secret of power?  The consciousness of power, because whatever we become conscious of, is invariably manifested in the objective world, is brought forth into tangible expression.

Haanel writes in 21:16: If the desire in one which requires determination, ability, talent, courage, power or any other spiritual power, these are necessary essential for your picture; build them in; they are the vital part of the picture; they are the feeling which combines with thought and creates the irresistible magnetic power which draws the things you require to you. They give your picture life, and life means growth, and as soon as it begins to grow, the result is practically assured.

We have the power within us.  The infinite mind is the source from which all things proceed.  The more conscious we become of our unity with the source of all power, the greater our ability becomes to control and master every condition.

The Master Keys has given me power.  The many exercises we were tasked with week after week has helped to chip away at the cement that accumulated year after year for many years.   I have learned to love myself and in so doing my confidence and strength to fulfill my dharma has grown.  I really like the Gal in the Glass! What is my purpose on this earth?  What is my mission in life?  We spent many weeks developing our thinking around our DMP, our definite major purpose.  Drawing upon the infinite power coupled with imagination, allowed me to visualize my desire.  The picture had to be in my mind in order for manifestation to begin.

I have come to realize that fulfilling my purpose not only benefits me but others as well.  So, it is necessary that I collect my thoughts and find my purpose.  And then put it into action.  Nothing is going to happen by thinking about and wishing life was different.  Remapping was necessary, change the blueprint. Our blueprint took years to form, so hard work is necessary to drive change. Nothing will fall in our lap thinking about it, hard work is necessary.  John Wooden’s elaborates in his Pyramid of Success, that there is no substitute for work.  Worthwhile results come from hard work and careful planning. hero journey

So each week we have been working on exercises to train our subconscious mind and gain the power by getting aligned to our Infinite Mind.  Mentally concentrating on the object of our desire will draw those desires to you.  Why, because you are impressing the subconscious.   This is not the only way, but it is the quickest and most direct way.

Haanel states in 3:24; It is the method by which every great inventor, every great financier, every great statesman has been enabled to convert the subtle and invisible force of desire, faith and confidence into actual, tangible, concrete facts in the objective world.  You are simply to say what you desire, not how you are to obtain it.

Sitting quiet is the pathway to finding the answers.  Sitting for 15 minutes or longer removing all tension by completely relaxing,  Let go of all adverse conditions and negative thoughts, such as hatred, anger, worry, jealousy, envy, sorrow, trouble, or disappointment.  In silence, you take a retreat and the answers will come.  Throwing in doses of random acts of kindness, and observing virtues, like persistence, enthusiasm, taking initiative, imagination, courage, Enthusiasm-11and self-control brought awareness to me of my surroundings.  This was all part of the Franklin Makeover.  You see, awareness is the beginning of change.  Happiness excites the endorphins and stimulates the mind.   So, our exercises were to be completed with enthusiasm.  Or as Mark J would say, enthooosiasm!

So what has been happening to me so far working through thse exercises week after week?  Well, glad you asked.  I have been experiencing many small wonderful things, small miracles.   I am happier, I am rolling with life’s punches in a calmer way, and more doors are opening that were not in my view before, and by giving more kindness to everyone I encounter…. I am getting so much more.  Give more, get more.

So you see, I have become the curious adventurer penetrating new worlds…brave new worlds!

And let me tell you, I LOVE WHAT I SEE!

Week 20 – “I live this day as if it is my last.”

SMARTIn Scroll V from Og Mandino’s , “The Greatest Salesman in the World, we are instructed to live each day as if it is our last.  What does this mean?  Find your passion and live your life to the fullest.  Do not waste a drop of precious time, because our time is limited.  Do not complain about tomorrow, the past, or even today.  Get on with it.  Stop complaining, focusing on the negative, or thinking about yesterday’s misfortune.  Stop thinking about what I should have done differently, yesterday is gone.  You cannot change it, so why dwell on wishing and hoping you had somehow made a different choice or decision.  It does not matter!

“Yesterday is buried forever and I think of it no more.”

What is your purpose in life?  Do not waste a moment.  Cherish each hour of the day as it will never return.  The compass1value of the present moment is priceless.  What would a dying man give to take just one more breath?  What price would he pay?  As one of our exercises, we were asked to draw a timeline of our life.  On the left side we marked our birth, one the far right our death.  Next we marked “today”. Between today and our death we added a question asking how many moments of happy times do we have left?  I enjoy the summer time, so my question was, “How many summers do I have left?”  Underneath the timeline we placed a question, “When will I begin?”

 bryan-lee-we-were-heroes-superman-batman-flash-aquaman-ninjapizzaburgers-btank-dc-comics

The impact this has had on me has been intense.  We all know none of us can escape death, but as our time draws nearer, the reality brings a heavy heart. Everyone wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to die to get there. But, that is our fate.  None of use can escape death.

“What am I pretending not to know?”

Procrastination must be destroyed with action.  Life will not start if action is not pursued.

“What would the person I intend to become do next?”

You see we all have the answers…  They are within us, within each of us.  We must follow our dreams, follow our passion, accomplishing the purpose of why we were born.  We have a purpose, an intention, we should fulfill.  We must live in love and harmony on this earth.  Others must see us as an example.  As we fulfill our purpose, we are completing one more piece of the puzzle making the ‘big picture’ complete.   Make every hour and every minute count.  Make each day the best day of your life.  Make the commitment and take the plunge.

Stevejobs

“If you live each day as it was your last, someday you’ll most certainly be right.”

Take your inspiration from Steve Jobs and find your purpose.   There are seven principles that earmark his success:

  1. Do What You Love- (Seek what inspires you and gives you passion.)
  2. Put a Dent in the Universe – (Establish a vision.)
  3. Connect Thinks to Spark Your Creativity – (Link broad experiences from different fields).
  4. Say “No” to 1,000 Thinks – (Focus on simplicity.)
  5. Create Insanely Different Experiences – (Focus on better ways to enrich lives.)
  6. Master the Message – (Communicate, teach, and inform… visually using words and pictures.)
  7. Sell Dreams, Not Products- (If customers reach their dreams, you will win them over.)

“Your time is limited so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.  Don’t be trapped by dogma which is living the results of other people’s thinking.  Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice.  And most important have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.  They somehow already know what you truly want to become.  Everything else is secondary.”

Week 19 – Power Pose – “What happens if you fake it till you make it?”

brain powerPositive think can be improved with the power pose. Fix your physiology, increase your confidence…. and strike the pose! Get into a position of power and feel more confident.
Amy Cuddy, a social psychologist, has revealed through pioneering research that subtle manipulations in posture can actually change our hormone levels and dramatically alter the way we feel and are perceived by the people around us. Her research on body language reveals we can change other people’s perceptions…and even our own body chemistry…simply by changing body positions. Just two minutes in one of Cuddy’s power poses boosts testosterone and lowered cortisol levels resulting in changed performance of individuals in stressful situations.  power posture
So, you are skeptical and this sounds like a bunch of hype or wishful thinking. Why should we listen? Amy Cuddy was not supposed to become a successful scientist or complete her undergraduate degree. You see, early in her college career, Cuddy suffered a severe head injury in a car accident. The doctors did not predict a favorable outlook. In fact, they told her she would struggle to regain her mental capacity much less finish her undergraduate degree.

But, there was a bigger plan for Amy. Today, Cuddy is a professor and researcher at Harvard Business School, where she studies how nonverbal behavior and snap judgments affect people in the classroom to the boardroom. Her training as a classical dancer (another accomplishment after her head injury) is evident and revealed in her work on power posing.

“Using a few simple tweaks to body language, Harvard researcher Amy Cuddy discovers ways to help people become more powerful.” — TIME Game Changers, March 19, 2012.

power4

She challenges her listeners to ask, “What happens if you fake it till you make it?” If you pretend to be powerful, are you more likely to feel powerful? She demonstrates how tiny, easy, two-minute exercises on changing your body language can have a significant impact on your mind and your actual performance in stressful situations. “Don’t fake it until you make it, fake it until you become it.”

hundred-foot-journey

“In The Hundred-Foot Journey, a young chef named Hassan transcends the kitchen of his family’s boisterous Indian restaurant, charms the icy proprietress of the Michelin-starred French restaurant across the street, and tries his hand at becoming a top chef in Paris. The story unfolds over the course of years, and actor Manish Dayal came up with an intriguing way to show his character’s fluctuations in mindset and confidence over time: he power posed.”

Juliet Blake produced The Hundred-Foot Journey, alongside Oprah and Steven Spielberg. “Manish arrived on set one morning having watched Amy Cuddy’s talk on power poses and was excited about putting her ideas to work,” she remembers. “I was so totally thrilled.”

power5Manish acquired the role, his biggest one yet. He discovered Amy Cuddy’s talk by surfing the internet with the TED app on his phone. When she said, “I’m not supposed to be here,” it resonated. That explains Hassan’s experience in Paris, at the height of his success. When asked which power pose was his one of choice. He responded, “The one with your arms above the head. How can you ignore that? I power posed during filming to get a taller stance and a proud look.”

So, the next time you are facing a stressful situation, remember Amy Cuddy’s power poses. Claim the power and gain control of your situation. Do not let the stress throw you off balance. Take the pose and win. “Don’t fake it until you make it, fake it until you become it.”

Week 18 – Rub Aladdin’s Lamp!

happinessWe have been taught that happiness is a result of success.   But, a Harvard study, revealed what we learned is backwards and broken.  The brain works opposite to this.  As we watch and listen to the news, it is mostly about nothing positive:  negative things, murder, corruption, disease, and disaster.  This non-positive focus creates the lens in which we view the world and it shapes our reality.  It impacts the way we live, think, parent, see and interact with the world.

Change your happiness, and every single educational and business outcome.

thAccording to Shawn Achor, 90 % of your happiness is determined not by the external world but by the way your brain processes the world.  75% of job performance is not determined by your IQ, but by your optimism level, social support, and how you see stress as a challenge and not a threat.  The formula is not work harder to gain success. Once I gain success, I will be happier.  This is the way we motivate and that is what is wrong.  We have been taught to chase the dangling carrot.  By changing the goal post and moving the carrot, happiness is on the opposite side of success and one will never get there. We have pushed happiness out of reach and made it unobtainable. Happiness is not a result of success.  Quite the opposite, being happy brings success. Increasing positivity in the present, then the brain experiences happiness as an advantage.  Increasing positivity in the present increases intelligence, creativity and energy.  When we are happy, we are 37% more effective.

The Happiness Advantage creates:

  • Success in securing jobs,
  • Better in keeping jobs,
  • Superior Productivity,
  • More resiliency,
  • Less burnout,
  • Less turnover,
  • Greater sales

Reverse the formula. Happiness turns on the dopamine in the brain which in turn switches on the learning centers in the brain allowing you to adapt to the world in a different way. Train your brain to become more positive.  For twenty one days, you can rewire your brain.

As part of the Master Keys course homework we started a journey developing the five simple habits called the complex compound progression.

These five daily habits include:

  • Writing down three gratitudes,
  • Key SurfingExpressing and receiving kindness,
  • Exercise,
  • Reliving a positive moment, and
  • Relaxation in silence sitting for a minimum of 15 minutes daily.

From the words and guidance from Mark J., “achievement is not power, they are the confirmations of your power.  Claim what you have already within you.  You are already happy.  Be the biggest channel and deliver gratitude and kindness. Be the miracle, be all you can become.”   We have everything we need already within us.  We were created with all of the best gifts within us.  The treasure is contained, claim it.  Live your life inspiring others and the best will be returned to you.   Realize you are the dynamic force.

Rub Aladdin’s Lamp……..»ù±¾ CMYK

“Expect little and get much.“  Stop chasing the next best thing.  Start today and sprinkle kindness and share gratitude.  Live with a heart free of hate and a mind free from worry.  Live in love and harmony and think of others…..

Week 17a – The Hero’s Journey

Unknown-150x150 (1)As I think back, I joined the Master Keys because my intuition told me this was something not to miss. I knew in My instinct told me I would become a better person, a new person through increased knowledge and growth. I thrive on getting better, new experiences, but life did not always allow me to manifest those desires into sustained positive action. After all, my career working as an agent of continuous improvement should it not be directed to me as a person. How could I manifest change and become better. How could I grow and become my authentic self? How could I create a new blueprint?
Life on Earth is complex, full of mystery, filled with many distractions, many disappointments, often making us forget our Life’s Purpose and what we are all about. Of course, that is assuming we formulated a Definite Major Purpose in the first place.

earl nightingale

Earl Nightingale, The Strangest Secret, states, “ A success is anyone who is pursuing deliberately a predetermined goal, because that’s what he or she decided to do…deliberately.” In the Master Keys, we learned that thought charged with feeling creates a new belief which together establishes a new blueprint.
